Our Story

Soapgirl is a Canadian-based bath and beauty company created in 1999 by then stay-at-home mom, Sarah Crawley. Combining her passion for beauty and an entrepreneurial background, she began making bath bombs and expanded to include new products each year. Popular for their whimsical packaging and fresh fragrances, Soapgirl products are a favourite item at numerous gift shows in Eastern Canada. What began as a hobby for a bath-junkie, has grown into a career as Soapgirl products struck a chord with busy women who demand affordable, luxurious and natural products for those few stolen moments.

“I’ve been creating The Soap Girl line for 10 years and have been working toward launching our botanical spa line,” says Sarah Crawley, founder and owner of Soapgirl. “For me, it’s about creating items for a busy woman who just wants simple beauty products that smell and feel amazing. More importantly, it’s about creating a company that means something with products that will make a difference. With this line consumers get something that feels good for the body and feels good to use it.”

Sarah selects the quality ingredients for her products based on the “simple factor.” If she can’t understand what it is, she won’t use it. All the ingredients are natural and organically-infused and have been sourced internationally from Canada to as far as India and Africa. Sarah also looks for ingredients that have been ethically produced, such as fair-trade sugar and ensures all ingredients are Paraben free, Phthalate free, Sodium Lauryl/Laureth free as well as cruelty free and dye free.
